Remember me and smile
Jun. 16th, 2019 06:53 pmJackson had needed a goddamn drink.
That of course had turned into three drinks, and an ale on top, all of it back at the Inn. Enough to settle his nerves some, but not enough to make him lose all sense of resolve. This was something he needed to do, and before the Inn decided to shackle them all back in again. This was his chance. No time to lose.
Jackson was terrible at goodbyes, and avoided them as much as he could. But not this one. The fairy had been clear. From hello to goodbye. No getting out of it.
Fine, fine.
So here he was, knocking on Corbie's door. As he waited for her to open, hat in his hands, he realized there was still some cobweb stuck to it, and he brushed it off hastily, grimacing.
